i don't know everything. heh, very far from it. but i know
what i like in my style of music. my punk/ska tastes may be different from
your tastes but in general good music is good music and bad music is bad music.
here you will find a list of short and honest CD and some 7" reviews.
as i wanna riot and my CD collection grows even bigger so will this section.
remember if you don't agree, just try to bring the pain and then i'll exploit you on this site
and we'll all make fun of you. haha...here we go.
well this record is prehaps NOFX at their best. they deliver hard punk tunes while keeping their sense of humor. this record has a bit of everything. fat mike's voice is terrible..which is good in a way. and his lyrics are hard and every song hits with a meaning. izzy (who knows his real name?) shows off his songwriting as well with the heart touching ballad "Together on the Sand." and of course...the music is just rocking NOFX that we have all come to expect from them. of all of the albums, this one is prehaps my favorite. every song is good and once u get passed fat mike's screeching, the lyrics couldn't be any better. and maybe his screeching is what makes them so great. go get this CD if you haven't already. this get a 4.7...almost prefection. It's just too short, just below 30 minutes and once it ends you just think, that's it? A few more songs would have made it even better.

this two song ska seven inch vinyl should be in every vinyl lover's collection. side A consists of the MU330 song Vacation and what a great song it is. the various fast, and faster beat of this song is what makes it one of MU330's best songs. and i think's a cover of some 80s song too. of course, im sure the original version of this song sure did suck. but this cover is really amazing. on the other side of this record is the Blue Meanies with thier song, Stone, Cold, Crazy. i think is song is well, ok. not great. the song mostly is made up of some mumbling and screaming with horns in the background. then the singer uses some weird high voice and says,"stone, cold, crazy." this side of the record doesn't quite compare to MU330. overall for a few bux, this 7" is well worth it. - 4.12

the U.S. Bombs are a punk band with a strong 70s punk influence. this influence is definately there in the music and lyrics. this record deals with a lot of issues. ranging from angst, to anarchy, to abandonment- War Birth has many of these topics and more. they're punk rock style is as i said is far from modern. when you listen to them you don't expect to hear punk such as Rancid or NOFX would play. they are truely a different band, and for this reason some might not like them. not all of they're songs make you wanna get up and smash stuff. infact that describes few of the songs on this CD. the deep meaning in the lyrics sets a different tone from the rest of the punk rock scene. they still know how to rock pretty hard at times. yeah, i personally like this CD...but to a point. not the greatest thing i've ever listen to but far off from the worst. - 3.4

Big D and the Kids Table is a wonder of the new england ska scene.
they play a creative mix punk rock and "hardcore ska," melodic harmony. one of the
greatest thing about Big D is that it's thier own and a new style.
the CD starts out with one of the band's friends bringing them out, and after some yelling and
cheering the band comes out to play. they then open with the song Fatman and that starts the show out right.
this EP then pumps out 3 more live songs. next and lastly comes a studio demo, and before you know it the CD is over.
as you might of expect the only thing that is really dissapointed about this CD is the length. anyways you should still go
to the Fork In Hand Records page...buy this CD...and tell them how much ass they really kick. - 4.333333323
